- Denmark happiest elite and B level tournament for girls and boys from 28. July to 2. August.
AJAX AMSTERDAM.
Ajax Amsterdam has two Danish players in their first team squad, Christian Eriksen and Nicolai Boilesen.
Nicolai Boilesen (92) is undoubtedly one of Denmarks best left backs. Nicolaj played in Brondby IF from 2005 - 2009. Nicolai Boilesen participated at Brondby Cup in 2005 and 2006.
Ajax has over the years had a tradition of having very many Danes in their first team squad, and in recent years the following players were passing the club: Henning Jensen, Frank Arnesen, Søren Lerby, Jan Mølby, Sten Ziegler, Johnny Hansen, Jesper Olsen, Dan Petersen, Michael Laudrup, Brian Laudrup, Jesper Grønkjær, Ole Tobiasen, Per Weihrauch, Michael Krohn-Dehli, Kenneth Perez, Dennis Rommedahl, Christian Eriksen and now Nicolai Boilesen. Also on the trainer side there has been Danish "blood", as Morten Olsen from 97-99 was head of the team.
Over the years some very prominent names came from the club's talent department. Randomly we can mention names like Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Marco van Basten, Clarence Seedorf, Ryan Babel, Wesley Sneijder, John Heitinga, Nigel de Jong, Rafael van der Vaart and then perhaps the greatest of them all - the legend Johan Cruyff!
Nicolai is from Brøndbys talented 1992 group, where players like Mathias Gehrt, Franck Semou, Alexander Green, Daniel Norozi, Mathias Redsted, Jannik Skov Hansen, Nicolaj Jørgensen, Mahmud Sulejman and Dario Dumic is among. Players from this 1992 group form the backbone of Brondby IF´s talented U19 team.
